Like most 5yo boys, my son Sol absolutely loves superheroes, so when an opportunity arose to review the Marvels Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N (Science, Training and Tactical Intelligence Operative Network) currently set up at Federation Square in Melbourne, I jumped at the chance to take him. Sol absolutely loved the experience and I would highly recommend it for families with kids of all ages.
Marvel’s Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N is an immersive experience like nothing else I have ever experienced. Sol was so excited from the very beginning, as we were all welcomed and addressed as ‘recruit’. Once inside it is every Marvel Avengers fan’s dream come true. As you move through the purpose built space you are immersed in the world of Thor, Captain America, The Hulk and Black Panther to name a few. There are virtual reality games and you can even test your strength against your favourite Avenger. There are costumes from the films on display and Sol loved sitting on Captain America’s Harley Davidson. At the end you can purchase an ID card with your photograph and name on it to prove you have earned the title of ‘Probationary Agent’. Sol LOVED this and was super proud, showing everyone ever since!
After our immersive experience at S.T.A.T.I.O.N we had worked up an Avengers sized appetite. We visited the onsite dining option Mid-Town Diner by the creators of Tommy Collins. It was an awesome, great family-friendly venue. We loved the New York Diner feel! My daughter Lottie ordered the cookies and cream milkshake and enjoyed it. The kids and Ben had burgers which were all tasty and I went for a Shwarma Bowl with chicken and Middle Eastern dips and sides, which was fresh and fragrant.
Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N is on until July 15. Entry costs from $23 a child $35 an adult and family passes begin at $89. For more info and to book visit www.avengersstation.marvel.com.au
